Voices for Education
Fax: 520-623-3814 Robin is the Executive Director of Voices for Education, an organization she founded in 1998 in response to her son’s enrollment in an over-crowded kindergarten class in their neighborhood school. Her goal was to create a way to educate and empower parents to be a part of the decision-making process about education issues at the local and legislative levels.
Under Robin’s leadership, Voices for Education has successfully reduced class sizes in Tucson’s largest school district, , and provided parents and teachers with the tools and support they need to be successful advocates. As a result of the 2020 Vision project, Voices for Education has become a leading research organization. Surveying more than 8,500 seventh and eleventh grade students in Pima County, Voices for Education analyzes the data and publishes reports regarding class size, student perceptions, state land trust funding, and improving the well-being of youth.
Prior to establishing Voices for Education, Robin worked on political campaigns and for elected officials primarily developing policies that supported children, youth and families. She is also the co-founder of “ChessPlays,” a program that provided chess instruction to at-risk middle school students. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Robin is married to photographer Tim Fuller, and the mother of three, and has two grandchildren.
